Metta Worlpeace, seeing that play was hilarious! How can someone elbow another person in the face and say they did not do it on purpose? I mean come on now, he felt the guy right next to him, and the way he threw his elbows, i wouldn't be surprised if he had a concussion.

The Lobotomist..

I was watching a documentary on the Lobotomist..The movie is very  graphic it shows Dr Freeman and Watson cutting brains out and inserting sticks in peoples eye. Gross!! I cannot  believe people did this years  and years ago.

Jersey Shore Show...

The Jersey Shore. Watching this show makes me feel so stupid! I hate how ignorant some people can be when they get in front of the camera. I think this show is just plain stupid. No offense to anyone who watches it. just not for me.

My dream purse

The Louis Vuitton Speedy 35 has been on my wish list since i was in the 7th grade. I've always loved that bag, but it's so expensive! One day i will have it in my arms, and smile because i finally have it! Damn I wish I was rich.

Oh my goodness, I am dying of boredom...= ( So much homework piled up, don't even know where to begin...I have to study hard I have test that are coming up....I wish the semester could just end already!

Random thought: One day, i would like to take a whole year off of everything and just travel the world. start out in Australia, work my way up to Asian, then Europe, and basically to all the tourist spots in the world. One day, I will make this happen. 

another boring day

Today i went to the salvation Army and donated some clothes. Clothes i have not worn in so many years and did not know i had. While i was at the store, i seen this handbag that i have not seen in a while. I remember seeing it back when i was a young kid. i don't think they make this anymore.

what annoys me

You know what i find annoying? When people sneeze without covering their mouth. It is disgusting! There's so much bacteria that comes out of ones mouth at almost 100 mph. Especially if the person forget to brush their teeth, and it just stinks! 

Filipino Food

My mom cooked a lot of filipino food today. I am not really into filipino food because it's filled with so much fattening stuff. None the less, my mom makes some really good food, I ust wish she didn't make it so fatty.

Today, I came home to an awesome gift in the mail. A Tiffany's necklace! I've never gotten  any Tiffany jewelry before, and coming home to find one on my doorstep made me so happy! I'm so thankful for it, and i just LOVE it!

family relative passes away

What a depressing day. My dad got a call early morning saying that my Lola Ci Ci had passed away..I was really close with this lady, she was not only someone whom I loved so dearly, she was like a second grandmother to me. I miss her very much and she will always be in my heart. May she rest in peace.

I Just started to read it today. It is a really hard book to read, I am barely on chapter three. =( Not really my book of interest, I like  the Ella Minnow Pea book way better than this one.

 I hope to finish this before tomorrow,I have the comparison/contrast to finish up,vocabulary words to review and need to study for my other classes. Stress very stressful but I know it will pay off in the end.

went to the optometrist

It was a boring day today, I woke up and went to Kaiser to see my optometrist. She did a quick check up on me  and finalized my order. The optometrist said that I should be getting my contact lens in about two weeks. I ended up spending $200 on them, I know it is bit  pricy ,but I am glad I finally got them.

April 26,2012- Not happy with my psychology paper

Today I went to my psychology class. We watched a documentary on The Lobotomist and I  got back my  project paper on divorce. I am not satisfied with the grade she gave me. I got 95% on the paper, I really thought I was going to get a 100% ,but I had errors on my grammar so she took 5 points off. Oh well, At least I tried. I  need to consider going to the writing lab, I cannot afford to fail any of my classes. =(

Summer time is coming and I cannot wait to be on vacation.  I want to go to the Philippines and hopefully visit relatives this June. I have not seen or visited the Philippines before ,but  I look forward  to go sometime soon! Can not wait I defiantly do need to save!

I LOVE Coke!!

I have always been a Coke drinker.   I have been “on it” for as far as I can remember.  I think my mom made me drink Coke instead of milk when I was a kid.  It sounds funny but I really think she did.  I can even picture her saying it like this, “Sheila, if you want to grow up tall and strong you have to drink your Coke.”     It is rival would be Pepsi but for me I could never substitute the beautiful red can or bottle.  I would rather drink water with ice if a restaurant did not carry Coke.   In fact it is the first thing I order when ever I go out.  I also try to avoid fast food places that only carry Pepsi for their marketing like Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC.  Their food is great but I need the crisp and sugar from Coke to complete the happiness.   They often say Coke or soda is bad for you.  Health freaks are always saying to stay away from it cause it can cause diabetes, hypertension, and even renal failure.  I say if its so bad for you why oh why is it always on sale?   hahaha

MAC Make up Delivery- April/21/22 ( weekends)

This weekend started out great but ended sad for me.   I ordered my Mac make up through the phone thinking it would be a lot  easier instead of going in person.  Well I was really.  Fatally wrong.  I spoke with a man name K.C.   I told him what I wanted and the x amount of quantity and seemed to flow.   Payment went through as well.   However the bad part was after the order was finalized.   He forgot to ask me for my home address.  I don not know if he was incompetent but he told me since the order was final that he could not modify the order.  My Mac make up products will be shipped to another one of their warehouses were it will wait for further shipping orders.  This inadvertent mistake will cause me to wait a sad 14-20 days versus the usual 7-10 business days.  I am sad.  I am angry.  I am frustrated.  = [

Laundry

I hate doing laundry.  It is the chore that I loathe  over any other.  I can wash dishes like it’s nothing.  I often wash everyone else dishes voluntarily.  But to do laundry?  No way.  If there is one thing I miss from childhood its my mother doing my laundry  every weekend for me with love.  Now its all me.  What makes it worse is that I have to dish out quarters from every where for the machines.  It’s a solid ten dollars per week for me for two loads plus dryers.  As a college student that ten dollars feels like a hundred dollars.  On top of that there’s the expensive laundry detergent that eats up my pocket for cosmetics.  Ugh is the word.   Then there is the lack of privacy from the communal area.  I have to wait for the place to clear so I can dry my clothes through the glass face dryers.  After I make it through that I have to fold my clothes in front of strangers or neighbors which has always been awkward for me.  Topic in point, I hate doing laundry !

Church on Sunday- 4/22/2012

I missed church today.  It would be my third consecutive absence from my ritualistic blessing.   I mean I know I don’t have to go to a physical church to worship God but I feel guilty.   I have been so busy with school and working part time that I get so exhausted by Sunday.  I pray “He” will understand.  Though I am not there, my heart longs to worship.  Not just on Sundays but everyday.    My parents are devout Catholics and they do not buy my excuse.  They feel that peoples knees need to be at a Catholic church on Sundays to worship.  Sound more like a ritual to me.   I think.  I say to each their own.

Finally back home!

Had a great time spending quality time with my family in Canada during mu spring break. My relatives took us around town, we are out, and went sightseeing. I am finally home now, I got sick from the cold weather but I am
hoping to get well soon.

Looking forward to spring break!

I was looking at tickets online for my Canada trip this coming spring break. All the airline flights seem to be very expensive. Looks like I need to start saving up. I cannot wait to be with my relatives,I miss them so much.

Why are the bees dying?

As old as this news is, I did some research today to fill me in and it turns out this has been going on since early 2007. The case is called Colony Collapse Disorder. It is phenomenon in which large numbers of worker bees suddenly disappear or die. Though we have not seen a decline in supply of honey on our shelves, we have seen a decline of income for that particular industry. Researchers up to today still can not pin point exactly what is causing it but speculations suggest a lowered immune systems for bees. As of now all the bee workers can do is hope for a remission of CCD.

Finally pre-ordered the new ipad!!

Today I pre-ordered the new iPad and It is funny cause it seems like I just got my iPad 2 yesterday. I remember waiting in line for 2 hours around this time last year. All the excitement. All the hype. All the tech talks. I cannot believe they are going to release the 3rd version already. My techy friends and I feel its just too soon to say goodbye to the current model. It can do virtually everything the new one can do other than the faster network. Even with that you will have the same speed on WiFi. Yeah the new one has a quad core processor but do you really need that on a tablet? It will only suck up more power which is why the new one was fitted with a larger battery. My main use for the tablet is to shop and watch movies online. I know I do not really need to update but I will just so I can keep up with todays latest and greatest toys.

Blender =(

There is an old saying that haste makes waist. Well tonight I can testify to its truth. I have been wanting to make a Peruvian sauce called “Aji Verde”. It’s a side dish served over rice and steak. I got the recipe online and it looks pretty simple. I don not have a blender so I went to Best Buys. I looked through multiple blenders. They all looked the same. I saw one for $20.oo vs another for $69.oo. I got the cheaper one even though my friend with me advised me not too. I did not listen. I was in a hurry and excited to make my dish. On top of that we had to put time one hour forward today so I was pressed. When I got home I loaded it up with al the ingredient needed including olive oil for emulsification. The machine could not blend as promised. It got hot after a few seconds I and can smell something burning. I tried other techniques that have worked in the past for other blender but none of the remedies worked. I called it a loss. Lesson learned, hast makes waste

Evolution of Theory

I just changed my clock one hour ahead and now I am watching a hilarious episode  of South park.This show is one of my all time favorites. I can not wait until they come out with their shows on dvd.

Tips

Today I ordered pizza and the driver demanded an extra tip on top of the $5.oo already given. It was awkward but I didn’t feel like arguing so I just gave it. I understand that tipping is a social norm and that it makes up for the low wages workers are paid. However the amount given should not be dictated or standardized. That is why it is called gratuity right? At least that’s what I think. Prices should already factor in services rendered rather than having it open for the consumers to conclude. In other countries, like Japan, a tip is considered an insult. They view it this way because they have already charged what is fair. They price all their services higher than us but that’s because they have already calculated everything for goods to services.

Courageous is a great movie

Just watched the movie Courageous, it made me tear up. It was a great movie, especially for all the dads out there. I have not been touched by a movie for a while, this one got me good. I love it! Now it is time to get my day started I have so much stuff to do.

I am school early morning studying for my psychology test and at the same time listening to "someone like you"by Adel on Pandora. My Class starts at 9:40. Feel very nervous ,I did not have enough time to study yesterday. Ahhh!! I do not think I will good on this one but on the good note, the new IPad 3 has finally been announced the other day! I cannot wait to pre-order it!! It. Will be released this March 16!!! :)

Ignorant people

I cant stand ignorant people.  Why cant we all just get along.   You would think since its 2012 that we as a race would have learned to live in harmony.   Its too bad that we can never be diplomatic with our conflicts.  I mean its not like you have to be a college grad to be well informed.  That’s what you tube and the web  is for.  Hahahaha.

A great example of todays ignorance is racism.   Yes. It still exist and more so in other states.   Just the other day at the grocery store an elderly lady told me to go back to where you came from.  That’s funny cause I was born and raised right here in Los Angeles.  I stayed calm and told her have a nice day.   I understand where she is coming and why she might be frustrated but ignorance is never an excuse. 

Blog update

 I have not been blogging lately. This week was hectic, I been pre-occupied with school and had a lot of studying to do for all my classes. Being a full-time student can be  stressful at times  but it pays off in the end so it is worth it.Anyhow, I should go to sleep. I will be posting more blogs soon.

Home from the movies

Today I went to the Arcadia mall with my sister, brother and  brother in law. We went to Dave and Busters and decided to watch Chronicle at the movie theater. lt is 12:33 A.M  I should go to bed now.  Have to study hard tomorrow, I  tons of homework that I have to do before this week starts.

I am Looking forward to his day

My fathers birthday is coming up on March sixteen and my mother,siblings and I are excited to get him the perfect present. We have narrowed it down to three choices; all of which are great. The first is a nice shirt from  Lacoste, the second is a CD set from Time Life  collection that he has been wanting for so long or a Apple TV which we all need. From these three choices I feel he would like would appreciate Time life cd collection best, since he is a music junkie. A Lacoste shirt is nice but he has plenty already, an  apple television would be great but it is more of a  luxury item. I went ahead and ordered the cd set. I am excited to see his  facial expression when he opens his gift. I love my daddy and want to see him happy.

Brothers car accident

  Yesterday was horrifying for my family and I.  I almost lost my brother from a car
accident.  It was a typical Monday, nothing seemed ordinary.  I woke
up early morning to get ready for school,   I heard my father talking to someone on
the phone.  His voice sounded frantic.  I got on the other line and It
was my brother telling my dad that he got in a bad car accident.  He
specified he had minor injuries and that the paramedics were on  their
way.

We rushed to  scene  when we got to scene, my
brother had already been picked by the ambulance.    No one knew
exactly which hospital they took him to so I called two of the more
popular emergency departments in the area.  I located him at Holy
Cross Hospital.

We got to the emergency room and stayed in the waiting room worried with fear.
After a fifteen minute wait, which seemed like fifteen years,  the
attendant came and told us we may see him but only one at a time.  My
dad went in first.   He was there for a good 25 minutes.  He came out
and told us my brother was injured but is in stable condition.   I
went in next and saw my brother laying in the hospital bed.  His
torn clothing had blood and his left arm was immobilized.  He was alert
enough to tell me he was okay.  The doctors and nurses released my brother later on that
day. 
  I am thankful to God  he is now at home safe recovering. 

Short term goals

In the next three months I want to lose weight. I want eat healthier because I want to live longer, stay fit and boost up my confidence. I would like to go
out more often so I could make friends. I would also
want to save up money for my Canada trip and to get better grades this
semester. I hope I can accomplish these goals soon.

Watching the All Star Game!

I am happy on how this years NBA All Star Game  had turned out. Both teams started with nothing but the best of the best from each coast. Kobe Bryants first shot started to set the mood of the game by not missing a difficult fade away. Lets go West! Lebron James remined us why he is crowned king of the East Coast. Over all everyone played a fierce game showing why they were chosen to be there.

Went to the optometrist to get my eyes checked today. Found out that I was not covered by vision care so I ended up paying out of my own pocket. It is midnight now and I am up watching I Hate Valentines Day while everyone is out partying.

Busy Thursday

What a hectic day today. I been at school since eight in the morning and came home from one of my night classes that ends at 9:45 P.M.   I am glad that it is almost the weekend. I cannot wait to spend quality time with my family and catch up with sleep.

Acceptance

There comes a time when you just have to accept what is and carry on. Because really no matter how hard you try to control a situation, destiny has already been written. So accept and have faith that what has happened or will happen was meant to be, for a reason you will later understand. So have fun and live free.

Shopping

   Is online shopping really that much better than the traditional stroll through the mall?  In many ways yes, such as the convenience of  simply clicking on a mouse to finalize a purchase.  How about  the practicality of energy conservation through not driving.  However; all these pros make me nostalgic of how I use to shop.  There’s just something about seeing what you buy before paying.

    In my experience, I have not always received what was advertised.  Be it the brand, color, or condition, you will never know what you have bought until its on hand.   On top of that, delivery times and shipping cost varies depending on location.  In my opinion, though online shopping is more convenient, It just lacks the enjoyment of actually seeing products in person.
     

Going to Canada this spring break

 My family and I will be going to Canada during Spring Break in April.  We will be visiting my Aunt who is hospitalized. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor almost two years ago and has been hospitalized for quite some time. I pray and hope that she gets better.

Every minute of life is a blessing; cherish the time with those you love. You never know when it is their turn to go to heaven. 

Relieved!

Yay! I was able to add a class today after waiting one hour in line. I am so relieved that I was able to get the class that I need. There were so much people trying to add my math class. Well, I'm finally home and I look forward to the long weekend.

school is stressful

Time flies by so quick. I can not believe it is the second week of school and I have so much homework to do. I hope I will do well this semester.
